After temporarily suspending all its services to customers on Wednesday morning, Flipkart is gearing up to restart its grocery delivery service Supermart within the next few hours.
The company will first kick off deliveries of food and other essentials in Bengaluru, followed by Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR, where Supermart has been operational.
Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy confirmed on his Twitter today (25 Mar 2020).
We are grateful for the clarification provided by the government and local state authorities on the functioning of e-commerce during the lockdown. We are resuming our grocery services today.
